What is the meaning of life?
For me, Love and Happiness.
However, love is necessary for happiness and happiness is a side-effect of love. So, as John Lennon said, All you need is love.
What does this mean? Well, as I meet more people and begin to develop loving relationships with friends and lovers, my life becomes more meaningful. Unfortunately, a loss of love in my life can be extraordinarily difficult to cope with and I may enter a state of extreme depression and apathy. When this happens, my life isn't very meaningful.
Besides love, other things hold much importance in my life. They are other things that bring me happiness.
Thought. I enjoy free, abstract thought.
Interaction. Even loveless relationships are extremely important to me. I think people are interesting and I enjoy learning about them.
Music. Music helps me develop indirect relationships with others (see Interaction above). Other forms of art such as poetry, mathematics, stories, comics, movies, paintings, drawings, and computer programs are similar in that they help me learn about individuals and can help them to learn about me.
Entertainment, aka fun. Humour, adrenaline, sex, driving, learning, winning, teaching, programming, solving, observing, and playing.
